ABOUT THE AUTHOR
One of twelve children, Lorene Bryant Epps was born when Jimmy was two years old. He was the oldest child of Lula (Gray) and Ivey Bryant. Jimmy had to baby-sit her out in the fields or at home. This is how they became so close at such an early age. When Troy was born, Jimmy had two babies to care for. The three bonded and were close all their lives. Lorene loved her brothers! And she loved all her siblings, each one more precious than the other as they came along. She became the "second mama" to them all.
Lorene told her siblings bedtime stories beginning
at about age five, composing them as she went along. She
continued until going away to nursing school at age eighteen. By then she had
written hundreds of stories, etc.
Lorene became a Registered Nurse, graduating in 1948. She met and married her Tom (in Savannah). He was a post WW ll student at The University of GA. They lived in Athens, GA until he graduated in 1950. Her husband became a military man in the USMC, retiring as a Lt.Col. after twenty-six years service. They have three children, nine grand-children. The past few months Lorene became a great-grandmother of four great-grandsons. She is happy doing the things that she loves, which is writing, serving her Lord, and working to sell her books to get Jimmy's name and music out into the whole world.
There are many highlights about Lorene Bryant Epps in her brother's Biography.
